Rolls, tiles and pieces
How do we do it
100% ecological insulation
Our recycled rubber parts are made with crushed rubber from manufacturing surpluses and used tires, making them 100% ecological products. They are manufactured very resistant and also give exceptional results in noise and vibration isolation. Above all, its use has become widespread in recycled rubber pavements and floors for playgrounds, sports facilities of all types and firearms shooting galleries.
They can be worked in various formats: blocks, paving stones, tiles, plates… We adapt to your construction needs.

What are recycled tire parts?
Good morning David.
Hello good morning.
We are going to deal as best as possible with the issue of tire recycling, which today is an important pillar to improve the environment and which is an issue that is being given a lot of interest in developing because in the end waste is being reintroduced into a recycling system. tire that has a new product with which we help improve the environment and achieve the circular economy.
So, recycling, well, you asked me about recycled tire parts, because as the word says, they are pieces made from shredded tires.
For example, there is a piece that perhaps everyone knows that are supports for… traffic signs when you are doing some work or some horizontal signage, well it says that they are not fixed but are temporary due to works and such, since a base of recycled rubber is used in many cases.
Yes, of course with the many cars we have in the world and here they are few compared to Asia or compared to other areas, it is good that we think about reusing all that, but if not, then it is a problem.
And also, as you tell us, rubber is an element that lasts a long time, so it would stay there for a lifetime, because it would not end up disintegrating in any way, it is not biodegradable even if it is made with natural materials.
And what is the tire recycling process to manufacture these parts? How do you go about manufacturing the parts? How do you go about manufacturing the parts?
I take it to a processing plant, they crush it, idea and take out metal, take out fabric and take out rubber.
The rubber is shredded at various levels, depending on the use you are going to give it. Tire shredders put it at different weights. We use two grammages, one more or less that is 2×2 particles and another that is 1×5 particles.
We transform it, we mix it, we join it with a special adhesive and we give it heat and with that it forms, that is, you put it in a mold with heat and then you give a little pressure and the piece that you more or less made comes out. defined above.
Well, what the most common parts or applications tell us, what parts are obtained from that recycling? What are the parts that are being manufactured with recycled tires?
For tire recycling purposes, it has countless uses, and it also provides very good insulation and vibration absorption properties.
So there are more and more uses, but what we mostly manufacture are buckets. Then there are some recycled tire tiles for playgrounds, although lately what is being done is on-site manufacturing, because the tile moves, it causes some problems.
Then the same recycling is done, the same tire, but it is taken to the site and the work is done, that is, the mixing and vulcanization in air is done as if it were a cement screed. But instead of being made of cement, it is made of tire.
Then the same is recycled and bound with adhesives. Other very important applications are, for example, for shooting galleries.
It is widely used on walls, it is a material that has very good properties because when crushed it absorbs projectiles and does not damage the wall. They are absorbed, they pass, they go through the wall and you don’t notice it.
And then we also make rolls of finite sheets that are used, for example, to lay a flooring system that is then approved and serves to reduce impact.
For example, a very common use is at the entrances of large stores where they load and unload merchandise, as they put a floor with a sheet of pneumatic agglomerate to absorb the roll.
And then the same recycling is done. And that it is economical and recycled, since the best option is the pneumatic recycling part.
In other words, it is a very economical material that gives exceptional insulation results. So when a client presents you with a case that you need something that meets those two characteristics, it is clear to you. It is pneumatic recycling.
For example, one thing that is also very important in tires, in recycling, is for horse transport floors.
Because the tire recycling floor also makes… Gives a feeling of rest to the joints. So it is also used a lot for that, for floors where the person or animal feels more comfortable.
But with this material we cannot make elastomeric supports or expansion joints for bridges.
How do you summarize those advantages of using recycled tire parts?
Advantages and disadvantages of using recycled tire parts.
Let’s see, advantages are what I have already told you, that it is an economical material and that it has… That is, it produces a feeling of rest to the person who uses it or is on it.
Those are important advantages. Reduces noises. Very important. It gives security. For… Hitting you doesn’t hurt you.
And then disadvantages, well… Disadvantages that it is a material that, when it comes to cleaning, is not so simple. Like maybe a terrazzo floor or a floor…
I mean, the only disadvantage I see is when it comes to cleaning and then if it is outside it may have… More heat concentration than other materials.
Just as we were talking about the other materials, this one will come from tire recycling. They will have been caught, but will there be any type of tests or quality controls carried out on the recycled tire parts?
Yes, Yes. This is coming… In other words, there are some tests that are carried out in independent laboratories where the capacity it has is looked at… Of cushioning, which can also be seen…
As for sounds, what capacity does it have to absorb sounds. Then resistance tests are also done. On some occasions we have resisted fire. That is, depending on the use, one type of test or another is carried out.
And what is the durability, the useful life? From these tire recycling parts. How long can they last in years?
They are normally long-lasting pieces. But hey, it’s like everything. It depends on… Since they are assembly parts, in most cases, it depends on how they have been assembled.
That is, in a playground, if you put the recycled tile on top of a sandbox, it will be damaged after two days.
However, if you make a cement slab, you glue it well, you leave it square, you leave it well adjusted, it will probably last a long time. In a shooting gallery, the same. The pieces are long lasting pieces. Because the base raw material is the tire. The tire has a durability of hundreds of years. In other words, we are in the same, more or less, duration of time that a tire can be. I mean, a long time.
You were talking about the issue of environmental responsibility, of using tires to have less waste…and doing the circular economy thing we are talking about.
But how is this sustainability, this environmental responsibility, ensured in the manufacturing process of recycled tire parts?
Well, that depends on… That is, in the end the manufacturer… We as manufacturers, logically, what we do to prevent high pollution when manufacturing this type of materials is to take care of the manufacturing processes that are as modern as possible.
That all the manufacturing systems, which in the end are energy and heat… well, let it cost us… That is, it costs us to produce it as little as possible.
In this way we try to mitigate the effects of manufacturing on the environment.
While we are talking about tire recycling parts... it can be said that what you are doing are rubber recycling processes. What is this rubber recycling process? What formats do you make? Because you have told us about rolls, tiles and specific pieces. What are the formats you make with this recycled rubber?
Well, the format… In the case of rolls… The manufacture of rolls consists of making a cylinder of certain measurements… and then it is put in a dividing machine and it is divided to the thickness that the client wants. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 15… So the normal format of the rolls is, depending on the thickness… a few meters long and the width is usually one and a half meters.
As for the tile… Typically what is standardized is 500 by 500 display level tiles.
Although then the plates we manufacture are 500 by 1000. And then the thickness, well, they are normally 30, 40 or 50 millimeters… which is what is approved for, in the event of a fall from a few meters in height, normally in playgrounds that have a maximum so that the child can fall. fall don’t get hurt.
And then the piece because there is no approved measurement. The piece is what the client wants. He defines a piece of one size for us and what we do is add material to vulcanize in that same size and the client is in charge of approving the piece.
What advantages does using this recycled rubber have over any other alternative material? Are there any materials now that are emerging that give better benefits for all of these applications that you’re counting on that this recycled rubber is used for?
Well no, currently there is no material that gives the properties of these agglomerates, that is… curiously they are agglomerates that have been released relatively little and that the result at a general level of the properties they have, there are no materials that resemble them and There is nothing that gives the result that recycled tire agglomerate gives right now.
We talk all the time about tire recycling, what we are recycling is rubber. I don’t know if there is another one, that is, other rubber is recycled or only rubber from tires is recycled.
Currently all leftover compact rubber is recycled. It means that the hardness is greater than 50 sores, more or less, henceforth they can be put in a crushing machine, and it is not hard enough for it to become grain, if it is very soft such as spongy rubbers. . No, because it makes a paste… because the temperature is set in the crushing machines, so the rubber has to withstand that temperature and if it is soft it cannot be crushed.
So, it’s not just the tire, there are leftovers from factories that make other types of compact rubber parts that all the leftovers can be recycled, in fact we have a crushing machine that we installed two or three years ago… with which we get our own leftovers… we crush them and turn them into tiles.
With this we also achieve the objective of recycling and creating a circular economy, that is, we introduce our own leftovers into a finished product, such as the tile.
On the subject of manufacturing that you are talking about now, all this rubber is manufactured a little the same, because what you do now is… well, either the mixture comes to you ready, or the grain comes to you and you make the mixture, because In this case I understand that you are just getting the pimple…
Like in that crusher you talk about, you crush it, a grain comes out, as if it were wheat or a grain of rice. And now you are going to give it heat, you are going to give it the glue... and you are going to make the specific piece. What is that process like? Tell us a little about it.
Well, it is a very simple process, it is a mixer where you add one part of crushed rubber and another part of glue, it is mixed, and then it goes to the manufacturing process and it is given the determined characteristics of heat and temperature, and it is Take out the piece that you have previously defined.
Just as we asked you, the type of customer in all the other products that you carry, elastomeric supports, expansion joints... in all this case, who is the customer? Are they large companies or already very small companies that Do they buy all these kinds of things from you? Or are they already private, people who can go through you?
You don’t have a store on the street, in any case it would be to sell to a store so that they can later sell privately.
Well, normally they are distributors or people who are dedicated to being in playgrounds, or people who do gyms… because it also gets quite a bit on the gym floor… Or they are already companies that are dedicated to building shooting galleries.
For example, a well-known company is TradeSegur, which is a client that buys a lot from us.
And finally I wanted to ask you the question that I always ask you, this more personal question, to tell us an anecdote, something that you have about these topics, something that has happened to you and that you find curious about the factory itself or with the customers. .
Well, sometimes there are people who ask you for a roll of CD. Some you see have used it to make, perhaps, a mini archery gallery at home. I mean, well, really in the end, well, there are anecdotes, but I don’t know how to tell you too much like that.
