Compact rubber truck bumpers
How do we do it
Resistance and
durability
Made of resistant and highly durable rubber, we have standard formats of truck bumpers and we also design custom ones to meet all the requirements you request.
Truck bumpers
Our truck stops are specially designed for the wheels of trucks and other heavy vehicles. They allow parking spaces to be controlled and a safe distance between vehicles and facilities (loading docks, walls and pillars, machinery, etc.) to be marked. Rubber bumpers are ideal for protecting the wheels and underbody of vehicles, and also for cushioning the impact of heavy vehicles.
Rubber bumpers for springs
Rubber loading dock fenders, also known as bumpers, are an essential element for the durability of the truck and the protection of the loading dock. These devices cushion possible impacts during loading and unloading maneuvers, preventing damage to the truck or the loading dock.

Frequent questions
Compact rubber bumpers and bumpers: What they are and Other questions
Can you explain to us what compact rubber bumpers and bumpers are?
Yes. Well let’s see. These types of pieces are usually large and heavy pieces and are basically used to, well, as the word says, to prevent it from breaking. For example, the parts, that is, it is to avoid, that is, they are…
To prevent breakage of metal structures of cars, trucks, ships, etc. In other words, what they do is protect part, that is, the impact between a metal structure with another metal structure, a concrete structure with another, with a metal one, well… What is the cover of a ship with a port and the back of a truck with the dock where it has to load.
Yes, it is easy to understand that this, because what we see in the trucks, of course, when they pull back so that… Don’t hit the concrete of the loading docks directly, right?
Or the ships when they dock in the ports so that they do not hit the cement and the ship does not deform, break, whatever.
But, what is the difference between the bumper and the compact rubber bumper?
The bumper, the difference between the compact rubber bumper and the compact rubber bumper. Well, there really isn’t a difference as such, but if we want to look for the difference we’re going to call butt.
A piece of not very large dimensions, which are solid made of resistant rubber, are usually square or rectangular in size and are placed on the back of the trucks. So that when they dock the dock is not damaged.
Those are, let’s say, the limit. And the defense is something more voluminous, larger, that takes up more surface area and is normally a little more technical pieces, with a little more resistant rubber, because the bumper is like almost any rubber. However, when it comes to defenses, they have to be neoprene rubber, EPDM, it is a little more technical so that it is much more durable.
And what are the advantages of using these compact rubber bumpers and these compact rubber bumpers?
Well, man, above all, one of the most important advantages is safeguarding the loading structures, both of ships and trucks.
That is, what do they do, what is achieved with this? Well, the fact that both the deck of a boat does not break when docking and the truck, logically, is not the same as repairing a rubber bumper, which costs… 10 euros to repair a trailer because it has broken, it has become out of square. .
So, a little is in safeguarding, which is the most expensive part of the truck, and the shocks are absorbed by the rubber parts.
Yes, come on, it is much cheaper to have a piece of rubber that you can change if it becomes deformed, than to have to change a barge, a back part of a truck where you carry the merchandise, or even more so on a boat, right?
If you have to… That you don’t make modifications to the boat because you’ve hit it.
And how are these compact rubber bumpers, these compact rubber fenders, installed?
You already explained to us how they were installed, that you do not install the expansion joints or the elastomeric supports.
I suppose this is not that you are going to install them either.
But what is the installation like? Is simple? Is it like you said, maybe with glue? Do you have anchors or screws there? How does it work?
Well, in the case of trucks it is a much simpler installation because in the end they are… Well, that’s it, some drill bits that go through the rubber piece and some screws to fix it to the back of the truck.
In the case of ports, you need to have a specialized installation company because it has to be approved, comply with regulations, etc.
These regulations, just like in all your manufacturing processes, like what you manufacture rubber, whether for these defense stops or for other things, I mean, the regulations will be the same.
Do you have any type of test or is it not necessary because the manufacturer already comes, gives it done and what you do is the transformation?
At the level of fenders and bumpers, the factory tests already come because they are normally done with mixtures from third parties that already have, well, a table of characteristics and some tests done previously.
So we don’t need… Simply justify that the piece has been made with the rubber that we say has been used and that, well, let’s say that it is standardized by having the ISO manufacturing system, the ISO certificate.
With that you are ensuring traceability. We know from the moment the mixture arrives through the door until the product leaves. And then, well, we already have the product, we have already tested it, all the steps where it has been and the processes that have gone through and, well, everything is more or less registered.
I understand then that here you do receive a mixture and you make the product or you already buy a ready-made product and transform it. In this case, what we do is receive a mixture from a mixture manufacturer and what we do is vulcanize it. Work on it, that is, give it shape.
Basically vulcanized, that is, the mixture is received without vulcanizing and what you do is put it on a mold or put it in an extruder and give it heat and vulcanize it. You finish, you make the piece in the shape of the client.
And what characteristics should a good compact rubber bumper or compact rubber bumper have?
Well, the most important characteristics it has to have… It has to have a stop and a defense that is exceptionally resistant to ozone, so the rubber par excellence for this type of use is EPDM, although neoprene is also used a lot because the price per kilo It varies from 2 euros per kilo, 2 and a half euros to 6 euros, so it is much more expensive.
But neoprene also usually gives very good results and is more recommended in marine environments.
Yes, and then another very important one is that it has good mechanical characteristics, that is, yes, that is, I don’t know that it has good mechanical characteristics, that apart from these rubbers, they are usually mixtures with natural rubber, that is, neoprene is very good elastically, but EPDM not so much, so you have to make an EPDM formulated to have mechanical properties, so that when you hit it it doesn’t break.
It is not bad to hit it once, that is, when a stop is very bad because the rubber you put on it is not quality, as soon as you hit it twice it is destroyed, so we also need it to be a rubber that has good resistance to breaking.
You are already telling us about all the materials, you are counting the materials that you use to make compact rubber stop. And compact rubber fenders.
What are the materials?
You are talking about neoprene, EPDM, tell us a little about the materials that are used to manufacture compact rubber bumpers. Well, almost 90% of what we use is an approved EPDM rubber mixture, which gives us very good resistance to breakage and very good resistance to ozone, which means that our rubber bumpers usually last a minimum of two years.
How do compact rubber bumpers and compact rubber bumpers compare to other options in safety? For example, what are we talking about, in ports or in trucks, how do you compare it? Are there other offers for other better materials or is this the best that can be done right now?
Let’s see, as for compact rubber bumpers, no. For those that have had defenses, rubber is the leading material, because the properties that give resistance to breakage, elongation and resistance to ozone, there are no other materials that are the same, there is a tendency to put metals with mobile systems, that is that are not rigid so that the blow, that is, is absorbed by the blow.
But the rubber piece does that to you and well, it gives good results. But it is true that there are elements, some tractors, I mean, some truck trailers that are only installing metal elements. What is almost always used is rubber.
In this case of compact rubber bumpers and fenders, I assume that the customers you have are different, right? The same as for the elastomeric supports and for the expansion joint.
Give us the name of a client or tell us what type of client is the one who can consume these products of yours
Well, our main clients are trailer manufacturers or companies that, at the same time, sell all types of spare parts for trucks. Those are our main clients.
For example, it occurs to me… An important customer, Adaico, which is one of the largest truck parts companies. Manufacturers of stops of other types of stops, we sell you a stop that we manufacture, for example Kingom.
Basically the people who make, well, truck trailers. And defenses, well that goes for the port, it goes for some export that we have done, something more important like that about new ports that they do.
